Tazama

A Django movie recommendation web app

Tazama is a web app can accurately recommend upto 9000 movies developed from an NLP algorithm. It also features a social mini-blog. Built with Django and CSS Bootstrap. It is hosted on Digital Ocean and uses a PostgresQL database.

Loan Default Classification

A logistic model predicting asset finance loan default in India

Our dataset includes information on 233,154 loans issued over a period of 336 days, spanning from January to December 2018. It consists of 40 variables that provide valuable insights into loan default patterns. Understanding these patterns helps lenders make informed decisions and improve risk assessment strategies.

Predicting Real Estate Prices

A multiple regression model that predicts real estate prices in King County, Washington

The dataset has over 21,000 entries and 21 variables. I used cleaned the data, processed it and used different regression models, to find the one with the lowest RMSE.

My background is in Real Estate, but the monotony and status quo in the industry got me yearning for more. I therefore ventured into tech. I have over 5 years experience in product and business development at logistics and fintech startups.

Being quite ambitious, I successfully enrolled & completed data science and software development boot camps in just one and half years, and here we are today, being innovative, and creating solutions to African problems with data and technology.

I'm a seasoned full-stack developer proficient in Python, JavaScript and C#. My preferred tech stack is in Python's FastAPI & Django for back-end and React for front-end. My background in data science, machine learning, and AI adds depth to my skill set, and brings a holistic approach to problem solving, allowing me to innovate and create solutions that transcend expectations.
